two class songs!

Have Patience

Have patience, have patience

Don’t be in such a hurry.

When you get impatient you only start to worry.

Remember, remember, that God is patient too.

And think of the times when others have to wait for you.

Madresti Hilwa

An  Arabic song that our wonderful student teacher, tr. Khadija taught us.

Baking Cookies

We made yummy chocolate chip cookies in the class yesterday. The children did a fantastic job in adding, mixing and scooping the the dough onto a baking sheet.
Here is our JK1 tried and tested chocolate chip cookies recipe and the pictures to go with it!

Ingredients:
This week's twins!
1 cup butter softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup semi-sweet rainbow chocolate chips

Directions:

Cream the butter and white and brown sugars.
Beat the eggs in a separate bowl then add to the butter mixture and mix.
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt well in a bowl then add it to the butter mixture and mix.
Add the chocolate chips and mix.
Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for around 12 minutes. Let cool.
